Reed is an A-type flowering green skin variety. Trees are upright and angular. The fruit are round, medium size (200-400g) and have a thick skin. The fruit mature in March-June (Bay of Plenty) and are good eating. Flowering is often later than in Hass and fruit-set can be very heavy, which may cause biennial bearing.
